CLASSICAL MUSIC HISTORY:
Classical music has gone through a major transition from where it originated from to where it ended. The classical music era refers to the years 1550-1900, and, as one of the most diverse & varied styles of music, Classical music was the precursor for nearly every genre of music that followed. And it generally follows the same composition:

- Use a printed score
- Perform very complex instrumental works
- Performed in a symphony ensemble

Classical music is typically divided into two categories: the Baroque and the Romantic era.

In the Baroque era, music was performed with instruments from a previous era like the hurdy gurdy & the recorder, as well as newer instruments like the cello, contrabass and fortepiano. This era also offered a new vocal aspect to the already established sound of the time with the development of several different forms of opera (opera seria, opera comique, etc.)

In the Romantic era, the modern piano, with its sustained tone & wide range, took precedence over the delicate sounding fortepiano. The main difference between the two was the types of instruments used.

Not only was music created that withstood the test of time, but there were many different and influential composers came out of the time period. Notable musicians include Italian Baroque composer Antonio Vivaldi; German-turned-Bristish composer George Frideric Handel; prolific composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; and German composer & pianist Ludwig van Beethoven.
